One-Stop Career Centers often provide individual training grants to dislocated and displaced workers. While in training you can still collect your unemployment insurance and may be eligible for additional benefits while continuing your education. We also work with many government agencies, including Unemployment, DVR, Welfare, FS/GA, Ticket-To-Work, Trade Act, TANF, Social Security, Food Stamps, General Assistance, the Veteran's Department and others that provide free training to qualified individuals. For information on these programs, click here. We participate in a variety of veterans programs, including MYCAA, Chapter 31,
Chapter 33, and the Yellow Ribbon program, among others. Please reach out to your
veterans' contract specialist for more information on what you may be eligible for. In addition, Merit Training Institute also accepts scholarships given by many companies and faith-based organizations.
