Thank you for your interest in Merit Training Institute.  Helping people start a new career is my number-one priority.   I’ve designed Merit to be a state-of-the-art training facility, with the adult student in mind.  It is one where students can easily learn the skills necessary to succeed in the business world.  In addition, it is our goal that each customer not only succeeds in their program of choice, but to also assist them in finding long-lasting, unsubsidized employment.

At Merit, our approach to learning is very different from other schools.  We don't believe in modules and revolving start dates.  We strongly feel that every student is best educated by starting at only one point, the beginning. We never allow students to start in the middle of our program, or after a 'module', so students can spread out the subject matter.  Topics continue to come up and proficiencies built over time rather so students retain their new knowledge.  We also ensure that students receive their certification reviews at the end of their program, before they take their test. 

As an on-site Director, I feel it’s important to be involved in every student’s learning process, from the time they enter our doors, to the time they enter the workforce.  I meet personally with every student, and follow their progress closely throughout their time at Merit, and share in their accomplishments.  My staff is committed to ensuring that every student gets individualized attention.

I also feel strongly that certifications help pave the way to long lasting employment.  Merit's close relationship with the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), NCCT, Intuit, Microsoft and the NJ DOH, among others, has helped to improve our curriculum and ensure we are in close contact with area employers.
