We only start students at one point...the beginning.  Merit Training Institute believes revolving start dates and modules are not the best way for students to learn.  Our students start class together and graduate together.  Subject matter builds as the class progresses, with reinforcement of the skill set.  Students learn by repetition.  Merit students learn new skills, but continue to practice previously learned skills throughout the program.  This is the benefit of not having modules or revolving start dates.  Building blocks, such as medical terminology, are introduced throughout the program so students aren’t trying to memorize hundreds of terms at a time.  When students are started in the middle of the program they come into the program without learning the valuable building blocks that lead up to that point.  In addition, students receive certification exam reviews for all 5 NHA certifications when they need it, right before they take their certification exams.

Everything included in our program is designed to either prepare our students for their future employment as a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician, or for a certification exam.  Our maximum 12 to 1 student/teacher ratio means lots of one-on-one time with the instructor.  With small class sizes, optional externships and an instructor with over 13 years’ experience, Merit graduates have a definite edge over students graduating from elsewhere!
