​​Tricia, our Microsoft Office instructor, has spent the past decade using Microsoft Office Suite.  She is proficient in 2007, 2010, 2013, and the new 2016 version.  She has been a long time member of the Microsoft testing team, and most recently helped Microsoft work the kinks out of the new 2016 version.  She is a highly skilled instructor, having taught this program for over 6 years, in addition to being a certified Microsoft Maser.  She is proficient in Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint, in addition to the newer programs like OneNote and SharePoint.

​Tricia believes in a hands on approach, and encourages students to go at their own pace.  Learning new computer programs requires practice, and she is there every step of the way to help guide the students and even show them some shortcuts along the way!  Part of her beta testing work with Microsoft & Certiport has allowed her to test out the new Microsoft certification exams before they even come out.  This not only helps her prepare her students to get to the certification level, but it also helps her to ensure that her students are getting a fair exam.​ Her graduates have achieved an 88% pass rate on their first attempt at their Microsoft certification exams.  ​This is an amazing achievement​,​ given she has taken students that didn't even know how to use a mouse and has gotten them certified. ​
