In addition to the course work and National certifications available, Merit is additionally able to offer its medical billing & coding graduates the opportunity to take their Merit training and in return receive college credit toward their continuing education in the medical field.
Rowan College at Burlington County assessed our curriculum and has authorized us to offer the following:
Upon successful completion of Merit's Medical Billing, Insurance, CPC Coding & EHR w/ICD-10 program and passing a certification exam, graduates are eligible to be awarded 13 college credits towards their Health Sciences Associate of Applied Science degree.
The degree requires 62 credits; therefore, Merit graduates with 13 credits already earned are starting with over 20% of the degree work completed. This is yet another example of our commitment to providing not just education, but opportunities to use that education to its fullest.
